Shallow Thoughts

So how do you say something like this? Don't judge me please:

Almost, wax lyrical about the new 7pm chinese drama "Scarlet Heart". It doesn't seem to be one of your run-off-the-mill period chinese dramas. The storyline sounds promising & modern (even though it's set in the Qing Dynasty). Toying with the idea of getting the DVDs. I know, indulge me for a moment. This is so far off my usual vernacular.

By the way, this soft fluffy bun (pao), oozing warm creamy golden egg yolk custard– DIVINE. All the more when it's brought all the way to my doorstep hehe. I cannot express enough– my tremendous support of my sister in her musical studies at NAFA.

Deeper (hopefully) Thoughts

More pertinent thoughts– been thinking about the quality of daily conversation, now compared to a decade ago. Doesn't it scare you that there are those who think it rational to build different castles in the air, every single day? Like where did the good people with lofty ideas and equally hardworking hands go? Why does this generation seem to think things will magically work out when they fail to study/ put in effort in anything they do? Don't even get me started about concentration & perseverance. 

Striving with a few fellow girlfriends to be less self-centered, materialistic & overly emotional. To be critical about what we allow into our lives, to call out crap, be productive and effective. Such a joy to have friends that make you a better person. People that question their practice daily & who strive to live exceptionally.
