A few assignments, a few suppers, a sunday or two & Christmas comes and goes. The shops launch fully into Chinese New Year & erase Christmas in a heartbeat. It's strange to think that such a mind-blowing part of history has been reduced to a day of merry-making and commercialized fanfare. Appreciating the truth behind Christmas Day is ever more so difficult during Christmas. Trees with embellished carousels, lights blinking more quickly than your eyes do, songs about 'Santa Baby' (that is official the worst Christmas song this year), ads bombarding you with 1001 ideas of what Christmas should be. It gets tougher each year. Just thankful to be able to invest time with those who matter this holiday.
